About this model
On started the Cloudmonster line in 2022 with a bold silhouette and a forward-rolling ride, and the Cloudmonster 2 turned up the cushioning. For the third generation, launched on 5 March 2026, On says it brought back the rocker and responsiveness of the first model and paired them with high cushioning. On pitches it as a daily trainer for most of your miles.
The main change is a new three-layer CloudTec system set into a dual-density Helion midsole. Inside is a Speedboard, which On describes as a nylon blend that stores energy as the forefoot bends and releases it at push-off. RunRepeat measured the toe of the aggressively curved rocker rising more than 5 cm off the ground. The upper is an engineered knit with ventilation zones, the outsole is compressed rubber, and RunRepeat measured 5.3 mm of tongue padding, against 1.5 mm on the Cloudmonster 2.
On's figures for a men's US 8.5 are 295 grams, a 35 mm heel, a 29 mm forefoot and a 6 mm drop. Expect a firm ride. RunRepeat's durometer read the Helion at 49.9 on the Asker C scale, among the firmest results in its lab, and the testers felt the CloudTec pods soften it only a little. On and RunRepeat's owners both call it true to size, though the lab measured it narrower than the Cloudmonster 2 at the widest point and in the toe box. RunRepeat flags this for anyone the previous model fit perfectly.

How this works
- The supplier page shows a completely different product, and that is normal. What arrives is what is photographed here.
- Pick your colour by its code. All 30 colours are just below, each with its code. That code is what you select at the supplier.
- You pay at the supplier. The order, the payment and the delivery are with him, not with us.
Which colour, which code
At the supplier, colours are codes rather than pictures. Find yours here, copy its code, paste it over there.
